1. People’s Liberation Army Ground Force (PLAGF), China
The People’s Liberation Army Ground Force (PLAGF) of China is the largest army in the world, with nearly 1.25 million active personnel being deployed at any one time. The People’s Liberation Army Guerrilla Force (PLAGF) was one of the People’s Liberation Army’s primary military divisions when it was founded in August of 1927. (PLA).
The Central Military Commission is responsible for providing operational direction to the People’s Liberation Army. China is divided into seven distinct military areas, each of which has its own active ground units that are part of the army.
China is the second-largest military spender in the world after the US. The official defense of spending of China reached 293.35 billion U.S. dollars in 2021.
2. United States Army
The Department of Defense is comprised of three military departments: the army, the navy, and the air force. The United States Army is one of these departments. A significant portion of the United States Army is made up of both active and reserve forces.
The US Army employs more than 1.1 million active duty, reserve, and National Guard members. The country spent 801 billion U.S. dollars on defense in 2012.
The United States Army is equipped with state-of-the-art armaments such as tanks, armored combat vehicles, self-propelled and towed artillery, missiles, and rocket-launching systems.
3. Indian Army
The Indian Army is one of the biggest militaries in the world, with 1.1 million personnel making up its total strength. The army uses a regimental organization that is subdivided into mountain divisions, infantry divisions, armored divisions, and mechanized divisions. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) is in charge of the army, and the army is commanded by the COAS.
The Indian Army is outfitted with modern individual weapons, self-propelled artillery, helicopters, anti-tank guided missiles, BMP series infantry fighting vehicles, tanks such as the T-72 and the Arjun, and anti-tank guided missiles, helicopters, and fast reconnaissance vehicles; as well as air defense missiles.
4. Korean People’s Army Ground Force (KPAGF)
The most important component of the Korean People’s Army in North Korea is known as the Korean People’s Army Ground Force (KPAGF). The Korean People’s Army Ground Force (KPAGF) was established in August 1947, and it is believed that there are currently 950,000 men under its command.
According to documents kept by the United States Department of Defense, the ground force of North Korea possesses an arsenal consisting of 4,100 tanks, 2,100 armored vehicles, 8,500 field artillery systems, and 5,100 multiple rocket launchers.
Most of the artillery and missile systems are positioned close to the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) dividing North and South Korea.
5. Pakistani Army
In 1947, shortly after Pakistan gained its independence from the British Empire, the Pakistani Army was established. According to the International Institute for Strategic Studies, there is around 725,000 active personnel employed by the army at the present time (IISS). In addition, the Pakistan Army is one of the largest armies in the world because of its 500,000-strong reserve troops.
There were three significant wars that were fought between Pakistan and India by the Pakistan Army. The majority of the weaponry utilized by the armed forces is either manufactured in China, Europe, or the United States. The majority of the stockpile is made up of various types of small weapons, as well as armored vehicles, artillery, helicopters, and air defense systems.
